Lainie Parker

After beginning a career in the Australian Defence Force, Lainie resigned and began her Physiotherapy degree. She graduated in 2004 from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. Her Honours Thesis involved research on the reaction times of older adults and the implications to the risk of falls.

She began working with Barry Gavin’s team at the end of 2004 and works across all of the practices and at Warringal Private Hospital. She has been a partner in the business since 2006.

Lainie also has experience with football clubs at the local level, working at the Templestowe Football Club for two years, where she gained knowledge and experience in assessing and managing acute sporting injuries. She is now working closely with Old Ivanhoe Grammarians Football Club on game days in injury assessment and management.

Lainie also conducts one hydrotherapy class per week at the Reservoir Aquatic Centre and group clinical pilates classes.
